Physics of Light and Color
"Another one for the high-school and college crowd, this physics primer from Florida State University is part of a larger site on microscopy, which is research using microscopes. Always being drawn to multimedia (this is the Web, after all) my favorite parts are the interactive lessons. They are integrated throughout the site, but you’ll find a listing of them if you scroll to the very bottom of this page, and follow the link to Light and Color Java Tutorials."

Physics Classroom: Light Waves and Color
"An age-old debate which has persisted among scientists is related to the question, ’Is light a wave or a stream of particles?’ Very noteworthy and distinguished physicists have taken up each side of the argument, providing a wealth of evidence for each side. This illustrated high-school and college physics tutorial is divided into two lessons. The first addresses the "wave-like nature of light." The second looks at color: the "narrow band of visible light is affectionately known as ROYGBIV." Continue to the last page to learn why the sky is blue, the sun yellow, and sunsets red."

Physics of Amusement Parks
"Study the physics of falling, floating, and turning with animated lessons at my pick-of-the-day site from the Japan Virtual Science Center. Although all the sections are fabulous, my favorite was Thrills & Safety where I learned about clothoid curves in roller coasters and everyday life. Coney Island build the first circular loop-the-loop coaster in 1895. It’s since been discovered that the elliptical shape of the clothoid curve causes fewer whiplash injuries because the increase in gravitational force is not as sudden. Complete your visit by taking the Physics Challenge Quiz."

Paper Airplane Hangar
""The most important thing when making a plane is not making the folds in exactly the right place, although this is important. More important is making each fold well." The Paper Airplane Hangar is filled with good advice on how to fix common flying problems such as veering left, right, or flying into the ground. It also includes safety rules, things your mother always told you like "Never throw planes at people." Since most of the danger lies in the point of the plane, Ben Yeomans recommends the sharp nose be either cut or folded down for kids."
