Animal Planet
"Although not devoted exclusively to animal cams, Animal Planet (from Discovery Online) has enough cams to be included in today’s list. You’ll find four cams listed in a row near the top of the page they range from an adoptable puppy in the Miami Animal Shelter to sharks swimming in the Waikiki Aquarium. Don’t miss the twin baby gorillas from the Oklahoma Children’s Zoo (look for the link in the top right corner). Since the cams are geographically diverse, each has its own optimal viewing time. (HT, PT, CT, ET)"

Allen Hunter’s Black Mamba Info
"Which is the world’s most dangerous snake? Herpetologists would probably consider Africa’s black mamba a top contender. Legends surrounding the black mamba’s speed, agility, and ferocity are often exaggerated, but do hold some basis in fact. Guinness Book of World Records has decreed it "The World’s Fastest Snake". In addition to the author’s personal photo gallery, you’ll find his series of articles on how to handle hots (venomous snakes) with stern warnings for novices considering keeping these dangerous animals."

All About Frogs for Kids and Teachers
"Oodles of frog facts organized as questions and answers make All About Frogs an excellent first hop on our online frog tour. Beyond the Q’s and A’s you’ll find fun frog crafts, songs and poems, original froggie clipart (free for non-commercial use), and links to lesson plans for K-8 teachers. Although the bulk of this site is for elementary students, middle and high-school students will find links to sites with more in-depth coverage under More Frog Facts and Information."

Alaska Wildlife Notebook Series
Reviewed January 7, 2000 by Deb D., a parent from New England, USA who is not affiliated with the site. My son and I discovered this site while homeschooling last year, and even though he’s back in public school this year, I held onto the link. Alaska’s Fish and Game Department does a wonderful job of providing descriptions and sketches of native wildlife, much of which is native to other regions of the U.S. Anytime one of my children needs to look up something on a wild animal, we hit this site first.

Africam
Reviewed June 28, 1999 by a reader from Sydney, Australia who is not affiliated with the site. A great site to just have on in the room while chatting to friends or teaching a class. Africam calls itself a virtual game reserve and features 10 cameras (which update every 30 seconds) trained on spots within affiliated game reserves. The site offers lots of educational tools aswell. With patience you can see lions, babboons, zebras, wildebeest, antelope, giraffes, elephants, hyenas etc. etc. etc. All living in the wild!
