Moneyopolis
"Taking off where Fleetkids ends, Moneyopolis offers financial education for middle-school kids. "Moneyopolis is a challenging math game, which requires you to demonstrate your math skills in the context of some real life money matters." Created by the national accounting firm Ernst & Young, Moneyopolis is based on their five-step financial process: assessment, goal setting, strategy setting, implementation, and review/adjust. You begin the game as a new resident of Moneyopolis, with $600 to your name. Your goal is to tour all seven centers, save at least $1,000 and earn three Community Service Medallions."

MegaMaths
"This is a lively, interactive Web site for practicing and testing times tables. It’s based on the popular BBC Schools Television series Megamaths, using the same castle setting and a selection of characters from the program to introduce a variety of activities and games. Children familiar with the series will recognize old friends but knowledge of the television series is not necessary. This Shockwave site is my pick of day because of the variety of its multiplication activities. To practice with a particular number (such as eight), choose it from the jester’s deck of cards."

MathWork
"MathWork, a tool for creating an unlimited number of customized printable math-related worksheets and answer keys, is a labor of love for homeschooling dad Scott Byrce. In addition to the usual operators, MathWork includes fractions, graphing, telling time, reading a tape measure, and a one hundred chart. "A one hundred chart has a variety of uses. A one hundred chart can be used to teach counting or skip counting. A one hundred chart that starts at zero is good for introducing the concept of place value. A one hundred chart that starts at one can be used to teach about the Sieve of Eratosthenes, and for finding prime numbers.""

MathWork Long Division
"MathWork is another nifty site for generating printable division worksheets (but no answerkeys.) Determine the difficulty level by specifying how many digits in the divisor (the numberwhich divides the other number), how many digits in the quotient (the answer) and whether or not to include problems with remainders (the amount left over.) When you’ve generated theappropriate worksheet, hit browser refresh to get another worksheet with the same parameters. Look in the left-hand menu for two more division worksheets: single-digit horizontal problemsand a five-minute drill that covers all the single-digit divisor facts."
