vectorkids
Reviewed May 8, 2004 by Rick Larson, a parent from Lexington, KY, who is affiliated with the site. Vectorkids provides interactive math tools that allow children to have fun while they learn. Scoreboards help the students gage progress while practicing math flashcards. A teacher providing feedback to vectorkids stated that interactive websites such as this will make a concept "click" for many students. Timed flashcards help students prepare for standard curriculum in the classroom. The site also has an interactive multiplication table and a US State Capitals game. The site features quality learning tools over quantity. Positive feedback from students and teaching staff allows me the opportunity to rate vectorkids high.

Totally Tessellated
"Don’t skip over this opening splash screen too quickly. Take a few moments to scroll through the image gallery by clicking on the tiny Load New Images link. Wasn’t that worth it? Totally Tessellated was a first place winner in the 1998 ThinkQuest challenge, created by a team of three high school seniors. It is my pick of the day because of the breadth and excellence of its coverage. It also is the only one of today’s sites that has a section on M.C. Escher, the Dutch artist and father of modern-day tessellations."

The Golden Ratio (thinkquest.org)
Reviewed August 16, 2000 by S.T., 16 years old from Washington DC, USA who is affiliated with the site. This does not focus so much on the math aspect of the golden ratio as it does on the more human aspects. There is a glossary to help younger kids along with more difficult terms, but for the most part, the site is for late elementary aged students and up. The section on aesthetics and the golden ratio is especially strong, relating the principles of the number to architecture such as the Great Pyramids of Egypt.
