National Museum of Science and Technology Leonardo da Vinci
"The Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan has a great companion website to its massive 15000 piece collection. First stop is Leonardo’s Gallery, with photos of over a hundred modern models. Next is Virtual Leonardo, a three-dimensional exhibit where you can interact with the models, and ""walk"" around the virtual museum. A VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language ) plug-in is required. Other sections include a brief biographical time line, and the story of a bronze horse built in 1999 based on Leonardo’s drawings."

National Archives: When Nixon Met Presley
"Elvis Presley met President Richard M. Nixon in the Oval Office in December 1970. A photograph of that meeting is one of the most famous in the holdings of the National Archives. Through the original letters and memorandums written by Presley and the White House staff, this exhibit tells the behind-the-scenes story of how the meeting was arranged. This is a great story, and the National Archives does a great job telling it. The only thing missing is a picture of the badge that Nixon’s staff gave Elvis. What badge? You’ll have to visit the exhibit to find out."

National Public Radio J.K. Rowling Interviews
"In this four-minute audio clip from October, 2000, NPR’s Margot Adler asks Rowling about her fifth book ("Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix") and the demands of fame. They also discuss the pros and cons of seeing Harry Potter on the big screen in the upcoming Warner Bros. movie. What do you think? Will the director’s vision of the characters conflict with those in your imagination? In an earlier 1998 interview Adler probes Rowling about the source of her inspiration. To listen to either segment, you’ll need the free RealPlayer plug-in."

Musical Dice Game
"In February 1787, measures and instructions for a musical composition dice game were published. Some experts say the game was created by Mozart, but others are not so sure. This site is an implementation of that game, where you create a minuet by pasting together randomly chosen pre-written measures of music. Sixteen random dice rolls determine which of 176 possible minuet measures are played and in what sequence. The resulting composition can be heard in the browser, or displayed in PDF format for printing."
