Woof! It’s a Dog’s Life
"For dog lovers and owners alike, there are many questions and few simple answers -- how to select a dog that suits your lifestyle, how to train and feed that dog, what to do if your dog seems aggressive, shy, or anxious? Now the PBS series WOOF! It’s a Dog’s Life with Matthew Margolis answers these questions and many more. There are lots of great clicks here including Tips from Matty (some with video) and Uncle Matty’s Q & A (""My dog is always trying to escape from my backyard. What should I do?"")"

Why Cats Paint
"No, this is not a parody site. These folks (and cats) are for real. ""Only a very small percentage of domestic cats are known to paint. While about 60% of domestic cats will demarcate their territory with claw marks on trees, furniture , et cetera, perhaps only 0.001% will take paint on their paws and apply it to a surface."" Visit to view the exhibition, watch a video of a feline artist at work, and determine if you cat is artistic (see ""How do I know if my cat will paint?"" on the FAQ page.) The companion site ""Dancing with Cats"" is also a hoot, or should I say ""a meow?"""

Vincent the Beautiful Baby Boy Hamster
"Hi! I’m Vincent, the Beautiful Baby Boy Hamster! Well, I’m not really a baby anymore; I’m over a year old, but the name stuck anyway. I live with Trisha Peņa in Nashville, Tennessee. She loves to play with computers and when she got on the Internet, she promised to make a homepage just for me, so here I am! This fun page is a great example of the many homepages dedicated to hamsters. Check out the picture (near the bottom of the page) captioned ""Sure is a funny looking mouse!"""

The Hampster Dance
"This is it. The grand daddy of all animated dancing pages. First I’ll answer the obvious question. Yes, they know that ""hamster"" doesn’t have a ""p"" in it. ""Everything here is named with a ’p’ because the original Hampster Dancer is Hampton Hampster, a little hamster from Canada."" Hampster Dance is infectious. When I first saw it, I knew I had to show it to my son. That afternoon I learned that he had already seen it at school. Now I know what they really do during computer lab!"

Tetra
Reviewed October 22, 2000by Gerry Rob of Philly, a reader from USA who is not affiliated with the site.If you’re looking for a full information site on fish and aquariums, tetra-fish.com is the place. The site provides several links to fish and aquarium related pages. Aquademics is full of information, resources and reproducible worksheets for teachers and parents. There are links to state aquariums across the country. Instruction on planning and implementing a home or classroom aquarium is included. The most exciting link on this site is the Virtual Aquarium. The Virtual Aquarium allows you to plan your aquarium from tank to fish and then creates it on screen as a print or as a 3-D screen with your fish swimming and plants wiggling.

Ten Minute Bedtime Tour
"Created as a companion to the popular picture book ""Ten Minutes Till Bedtime"" by Peggy Rathmann, this site is just plain fun! With cute animated hamster illustrations, two Shockwave games, and several recipe and craft ideas, if you need to ask ""What’s the point?"" you are either too old or too serious! ""PLEASE NOTE: No hamsters were upset or otherwise inconvenienced by the concept, creation, or final development of this high-quality web site."""

Surfing the Net with Kids: Hamsters
"My son (following, I suppose, in the footsteps of Abbott and Costello) named his first hamster ""Guess"" and his second hamster ""Who."" Funny banter aside (""What’s the hamster’s name?"" ""Who."" ""The hamster. What’s its name?"") the little fur ball bring smiles and laughter into our household every day. Hopefully these Web sites (which range from serious to whimsical) will do the same."

Surfing the Net with Kids: Dogs 1996
"Does your dog have a home page on the Internet? Neither does my dog Kia,and I don’t think she ever will. But kids (and grown ups) love telling storiesabout their pets. For them, I searched for the best doggie sites on the Web. Here are my recommendations."

Surfing the Net with Kids: Dogs
"Dogs and kids just seem to go together. That’s assuming, of course, you have the right dog with the right training. How do you choose the right dog? Or how do you turn your nearly-perfect dog into just-the-right dog? These are the questions (along with many others) you’ll find answered at these five sites."
