Bonus.com
"Bonus.com has created a protected environment for kids by taking control of the browser window and eliminating all links to the rest of the Web. Their NetScooter software hides your browser’ s control icons, replacing it with their own buttons to move forward, backward, print, and save a favorite link. As a veteran surfer, I find this mildly irritating, but I can appreciate their good intentions. What you get is more than 650 Java games and over 1400 fun activities. Their most popular game is Battlefield, a multi-player board game that can host up to 1,000 players at once. Registration is optional, but if you do register you can save your game scores and rank. <!--"

BlackDog’s Halloween Party
"I spent quite a bit of time playing with the googly eyes that followed my mouse around. Whoosh, whoosh! But then I came to my senses, and returned to the more serious task of checking out the more than twenty interactive games, and twenty-four printable ones (word searches and secret decoder games.) My favorites are Halloween Hangman and Halloween Quiz. For pre-readers, click on over to Feed the Hungry Ghost and BlackDog’s Coloring Book."

Billy Bear’s Online Games
"Billy Bear has a large collection of games for preschoolers and early elementary grades created with Java and JavaScript. This means you don’t need to download any plug-ins, but you do need a newish browser (at least Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 4.0). Be sure to have both Java and JavaScript enabled in your Netscape preferences or Internet Explorer options. Some of these games are very cute. Others are just ho-hum. My personal favorite is the addictive Billy Bear Solitaire: the aim of the game is to delete as many bears as possible by jumping checkers-style."
